About Me

I’m Micaella – mixed-media artist and founder of micinterart.
I grew up in a family of artists, so creativity has been with me for as long as I can remember. Rooms full of paintings, materials, and color — that was my childhood. Later came a master’s degree in art history, experience in museums and art institutions, the theoretical craft.
But what really drives me lies elsewhere: in the moment someone picks up a palette knife for the first time and realizes what’s possible with it. In the stillness that emerges when you fully give yourself over to a material. In the look on someone’s face when they stand in front of their finished piece and think: I made this.
In my studio in Morsbach, in Germany’s Oberbergisches Land, I guide people through creative processes — with structure, gentle prompts, and a safe space where materials don’t feel intimidating. No rigid rules, no pressure to perform. Just you, the material, and the process.
When I’m not in the studio, I’m a mother, a wife, and living the slightly chaotic, very beautiful life with our children and animals out in the countryside.
